Central Chapter Mentors Future City Winner

    The Future City Team from Lange Middle School (The Wabash Park) competed in the Great Plains Future City Competition on January 21 at the Kansas State Engineering Complex in Manhattan, Kansas. The team received the Kansas State University Award for their "Engineering Design Process." There were 52 teams competing, and the theme this year was "The Power of Public Spaces." The team consisted of students Braden Ambra, Addison Gish, Sean Keene, Ethan Magee, Lane Story, Landon Viers, and Mya White.  Robert Ndessokia was the educator mentor, and Mike Heimos and John T. Conway, PE were the engineer mentors. The students started this project in August and spent a lot of time during and after school.

    MSPE Lobby Day Event


    Please come to Jefferson City on March 28 as MSPE partners with the MERCURY ALLIANCE for their legislative day event starting at 9:30 am at the Capitol Plaza Hotel.  MoDOT Director Patrick McKenna will address this group's interest in transportation infrastructure funding.  Members are urged to make appointments after 11:30 am with their state senator and representative in advance.  This will be the first day back in session from Legislative Spring Break.  Plans are to get a group picture when we get to the Capitol and be recognized as a group in the House and Senate galleries about 11 am.  MSPE members will also be given the latest information on legislation of interest to the Society.  More details may follow.  Register with the MERCURY ALLIANCE here.     ATTENTION NEWLY LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS:  MSPE invites you to participate in the all new P.E. Certificate Presentation Ceremony conducted in cooperation with the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects. 


    PE Ceremony to be held Saturday, the 8th Day of April, 2017 in the State Capitol Rotunda - Jefferson City, Missouri from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the afternoon. (Reception to follow at Avenue HQ Event Center, 621 E. Capitol)
