NCEES Withdraws Requirement for B.S. + 30

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) recently voted to amend their 2020 Model Law to eliminate two possibly controversial items:

#1) They eliminated the prerequisite that in year 2020, PE candidates must have a Master's Degree (or equivalent), also known as B.S. + 30, before initial licensure.

#2) They eliminated the prerequisite that four years of progressive engineering experience be earned before a licensure candidate can take the final licensing exam, the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam.  Each state still controls the licensure process for that state.  NCEES article.
