Increasing the collaboration in K-12 education and celebrating with the public as it discovers the value of engineering education and careers are the goals of DiscoverE. The organization aims to sustain and grow a dynamic engineering profession through outreach, education and volunteerism.
In 1951, the National Society of Professional Engineers first celebrated Engineers Week. Each February, that tradition continues with events that celebrate how engineers make a difference in the world, increase public dialogue about the need for engineers, and bring engineering to life for kids, educators and parents.
