Volunteer for STEM Outreach Events

Prep KC and Project Lead the Way are in need of volunteers for various STEM events throughout the winter and spring months. These events offer excellent opportunities to volunteer and positively impact students as they grow. They are also a great way for MSPE members to get involved in additional STEM events.

Prep KC provides the students in their partner schools with opportunities to engage with business professionals and higher education faculty to help young people explore their futures and see the relevance of rigorous academic preparation in high school and beyond. Their mission is to "Create and implement strategies to improve college and career preparation for Kansas City's urban students."

Project Lead The Way is the nation’s leading provider of rigorous STEM education for elementary, middle and high school students. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, innovation and real-world problem solving.
