District Professional Engineer
Seeking up to five professional engineers for three-year term positions as Soil and Water Conservation District employees housed in USDA service centers throughout the state of MO. Positions will be administered through the Callaway SWCD but domiciled in one of four area NRCS offices (Jackson, Palmyra, St.
Joseph, Springfield) or the NRCS state office in Columbia. Training and daily coordination will be provided by NRCS engineering staff with input from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Soil and Water Conservation Program.
Job Description
Perform engineering duties including but not limited to: planning, design, construction inspection, and quality assurance review for engineering practices related to water management and distribution, animal waste and wastewater management, stormwater and erosion control, flood control, energy efficiency analysis and upgrades, irrigation, and other conservation practices needing engineering guidance;
