The presentation topic will be the Buck O'Neil Bridge Project Review. 1 PDH will be awarded to attendees.
The Buck O’ Neil Bridge Design-Build project is the largest MoDOT job in the Kansas City area in over a decade. This $220 million project will transform how many modes of transportation will move through the northwest corner of the Downtown Loop. This presentation will cover the history of the area, some of the constraints and issue of the area before the project, how the winning team proposed to fix these items, and construction photos of the progress.
James Pflum, PE, Assoc. DBIA and Department Director for the Missouri Department of Transportation, joined the MoDOT after graduating from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2009 with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2009. During his time at MoDOT, James has worked on and managed many large projects, including the Manchester Design-Build Project, I-435/I-70 Partial Turbine Interchange, I-435 Missouri River Bridge Rehabilitation, and the Buck O Neil Bridge Design-Build Project. He is currently the Deputy Project Director on the Improve I-70 Kansas City Project.
